Specialty Food Products

   Hokuto City is widely known for the production of delicious rice, and buckwheat
(“soba” in Japanese) is also graded as high as rice, making the best
use of the local climate.
   Moreover, our specialities include daikon-raddish, highland vegetables
such as tomato, and fruits such as apple and cherry. 
   Hokuto City is also famous for fine-quality mineral water; therefore, the brewing of beer and sake rice wine as well as whisky distillation are also the specialities of the area.
